Jeannie 62lbs ~
Successful Weight Loss Story
Losing
weight was never as easy as gaining was.
I gained weight a half a pound here and
a quarter pound there. On CWW, I lost 8
1/2 lbs the first week and never
stopped. When weight that has taken
years for you to gain disappears in 6
months you can't help but know you have
finally found the right path for your
body. Counselors share your victories
and give you the extra information you
need after years of diet after diet that
didn't work for you.
Six years ago I had a bad fall. My knees
and back kept getting worse, exercise
was nearly impossible, and my weight
kept climbing. The more weight I added,
the worse my knees and back were, but I
could not seem to make the cycle end. I
have found when you weigh over 200 lbs
walking to the corner on bad knees is
the same as running a marathon. Then the
doctors gave me the news...the more
weight I carried, the more likely I was
to have to have double knee
replacements. Logically, the more I
weighed they said, the more difficult
the recovery and walking later would be.
In the meantime I tried Weight Watchers,
and diet meals everyday. Then I was only
eating one meal a day. I felt hungry all
the time, but I didn't lose weight. My
body was in emergency mode...."Keep
everything, you never know when she will
give us another meal." After eight
months, I lost ten pounds. Only another
60 to go. At that rate, my knees would
be gone long before my body could be
ready. That's when I joined CWW.
I followed the program, saw the
counselors every week and by the end of
the next eight months I had lost 62
pounds and gone from a size 18W to size
8 and sometimes 6. From XXL to
Small/Medium. From being a large,
invisible woman living inside the aching
body, to the vibrant woman that actually
catches an eye. I became the person I
knew was hiding inside my "before"
picture. The body may ache, but not as
much as before. The knees will be
replaced soon, but I know that when the
surgery is done, I am going to be up and
running quickly. And still feeling good
about myself!
To all that consider joining...Do it!
Take your life back.
To all that helped me achieve my goal,
thank you very much for my success.
Sincerely,
Jeannie Pappas
